The Artist
Christopher Flach began in photography, studying with Ansel Adams, Yousuf Karsh, and later Mary Ellen Mark. His path crossed psychology and San Francisco's design world before bringing him back to New York, blocks from where he grew up. His paintings and ceramic portraits have been shown with Gerald Bland since 2010.
“…stark oils by Christopher Flach… which have a slight Cy Twombly feel.”
— Daphne Merkin, Departures, 2014
